Today, the Rockland County Fire Training Center hosted the EMS Awards Ceremony, a heartfelt event that celebrated the dedication, compassion, and high-quality prehospital care provided by Rockland County EMS providers. These professionals work tirelessly around the clock to meet the community’s needs during medical emergencies.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of EMS Week, a time dedicated to showing gratitude to EMTs and paramedics who deliver lifesaving care, Rockland County Executive Ed Day and County EMS Coordinator Desiree Leone-Stoll honored and awarded the first EMS responders. The ceremony highlighted their exceptional service and commitment.
Rockland County Assistant EMS Coordinator Bernice Garatti presented the Member of the Year Awards, recognizing the outstanding dedication and performance that best exemplifies the EMS system. The following EMS agencies and their members were honored:
