Tonight, skies will turn mostly cloudy with a low near 26°F and calm winds shifting to the northeast after midnight.

Friday’s weather brings a mix of precipitation, starting with a slight chance of snow in the morning. The snow may transition to a mix of rain and snow by early afternoon before returning to snow later in the day. Cloudy skies and a high near 35°F are expected, with wind chill values ranging from 20°F to 30°F. The chance of precipitation is 40%. By Friday night, the likelihood of snow increases to 50%, with lows near 26°F and north winds at around 7 mph.

On Saturday, there is a 40% chance of snow before midday. The skies will gradually clear, becoming mostly sunny by afternoon, with highs near 30°F. However, northwest winds at 6-11 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph, will make it feel colder. Saturday night will be mostly clear with temperatures plunging to a low of around 13°F.

The Town of Ramapo is actively monitoring the incoming weather. Supervisor Michael Specht and the Town of Ramapo Highway Department have issued an alert, noting that snow is expected to begin around 7 AM Friday and continue into Saturday morning. Although total accumulation is expected to be light, around half an inch, residents are advised to prepare for cold temperatures and potentially gusty winds of up to 20 mph.

Updates from the supervisor and highway department will be shared on the Town’s official social media channels as the situation develops. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and take precautions for safe travel during this period of winter weather.
