Rockland County Battling Severe Storm: Road Closures, Incident Reports, and Live Updates with Photos and Videos

UPDATE 5:00AM – As per the Ramapo Police Department all Road closures have been reopened.

UPDATE 12:05AM – The Palisades Parkway is currently experiencing extensive closures in both Northbound and Southbound lanes because of significant flooding. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.

As reported by the Ramapo Police Department at 11:00 PM, several roads are currently affected by flooding:

1. College Road, stretching from Smolley Dr to Viola Road, is facing severe flooding and has been shut down.

2. Old Nyack Turnpike near Chestnut Ridge Village Hall is also closed due to flooding.

3. Route 306/Edison Ct is experiencing minor flooding, but remains open with vehicles able to traverse.

4. Remsen Ave and Route 59 are also dealing with minor flooding but remain navigable.

5. Grandview Ave, located between Spook Rock Road and Willow Tree Rd, is heavily flooded and has been closed.

6. The section of Spook Rock Road between Wesley Chapel and Route 202 is closed due to flooding.
