Rockland County Approves Funding for Countywide Mass Notification System

Rockland County Executive Ed Day, accompanied by Purchasing Director Paul Brennan and Sheriff Louis Falco, has authorized the allocation of $195,475 in funds to establish a comprehensive residential multi-mode mass notification system across the entire county.

Initially, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office successfully implemented an internal alert notification system exclusively for county employees. Building on this achievement, the authorities have decided to extend the system’s coverage to include all residents throughout the county.

After careful evaluation, Safeware Inc. emerged as the chosen provider for this service. The Purchasing Director, Paul Brennan, made the selection and finalized a three-year service agreement with the company, ensuring the seamless implementation and maintenance of the countywide mass notification system.
