Rockland County Approves Design for New Walking Path in New City

Rockland County Executive Ed Day has greenlit $179,300 in funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to support the engineering design of a new walking path that will connect Demarest Kill Park and Dutch Garden Park in New City.

The planned path will begin at the rear of Zebrowski-Morahan Demarest Kill Park, run along the back of the County parking lot, and link to the existing path near the County Courthouse, which leads up to Dutch Garden Park.

The project aims to provide greater accessibility and recreational opportunities for residents and is scheduled for completion by Fall 2025.
