Rockland County Announces Transit Schedule Changes for New Year’s Holiday

Rockland County officials announced service adjustments for local and regional public transportation in observance of New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

On Wednesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve), Transport of Rockland (TOR) and TRIPS paratransit will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Most regional transit providers will run holiday schedules, with some offering additional service; riders are advised to check individual providers for details.

On Thursday, January 1 (New Year’s Day), TOR buses will operate Sunday service on Routes 59, 91, 92, 93, and Loop 3, while Loops 1 and 2 will run regular service. TOR Routes 94, 95, and 97 will not operate. TRIPS paratransit will provide ADA service only, with no regular TRIPS service available.

The Rockland County Transit Information Center will be closed on Thursday, January 1. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and confirm schedules directly with their transit providers before traveling.
