Rockland County Announces the Passing of Former Employee and Veteran Rocco Anthony Marino

Rockland County announced the passing of former county employee Rocco Anthony Marino, who died on February 2, 2026.

Mr. Marino proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, including service with the Fleet Marine Force Pacific, before being honorably discharged in 1960.

After retiring from the I.B.E.W. Local Union 3, Mr. Marino continued his commitment to public service with Rockland County Government. He worked full time with the County’s Facilities Management Department and later served in several part-time roles within county government.

His final role was with the Rockland County Veterans Service Agency, where he continued his lifelong dedication to supporting fellow veterans.

“We are grateful for Mr. Marino’s service to our country and to Rockland County,” said Ed Day. “Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time.”
