Rockland County Announces Holiday Transit Schedule Changes

The Rockland County Department of Public Transportation has released a detailed schedule of service adjustments for public transportation systems across Rockland County in observance of the holiday period.

Holiday Early Getaway

Monday, December 22 & Tuesday, December 23
Several regional transit providers will operate modified or regular schedules. Metro-North’s Hudson Line will run a modified schedule with some early-getaway trains, while the Haverstraw–Ossining Ferry, NJ Transit’s Main/Bergen (Port Jervis) Line, and Coach USA Rockland Coaches will operate regular service. Riders are encouraged to check individual schedules in advance.

Holiday Eve – Wednesday, December 24

  • Transport of Rockland (TOR) buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule.

  • TRIPS paratransit will operate regular weekday service.

  • Coach USA Rockland Coaches and Coach USA Shortline will run modified schedules.

  • Hudson Link, Clarkstown Mini-Trans, the Haverstraw–Ossining Ferry, and most regional rail lines will operate regular service, with some rail services running modified timetables or early-getaway trains.

  • Riders using Monsey Trails or Kaser Village Transit should check directly with those providers for details.

Holiday – Thursday, December 25

  • TOR buses will operate Sunday service on routes #59, 91, 92, 93, and Loop 3.

    • No service will be provided on TOR routes #94, 95, and 97.

    • Loops 1 and 2 will operate regular service.

  • TRIPS paratransit will provide ADA service only; regular TRIPS service will not operate.

  • Several private bus lines, including Coach USA services, will operate on holiday schedules.

  • Hudson Link buses will operate weekend service, while Clarkstown Mini-Trans will not operate.

  • Most regional rail services will run weekend or special one-day holiday schedules.

  • The Haverstraw–Ossining Ferry will not operate.

  • The Department of Public Transportation office in Pomona and the County’s Transit Information Center will be closed.

Friday, December 26

Most transit services, including TOR buses, TRIPS paratransit, Hudson Link, Clarkstown Mini-Trans, the Haverstraw–Ossining Ferry, and regional rail lines, will return to regular service, though riders should still verify schedules for any minor modifications.
