Rockland County 911 Takes Over EMS Dispatching for Ramapo

As of 10:00 AM today, the Town of Ramapo officially ceased its EMS dispatch services, handing over responsibilities to Rockland County Sheriff Communication. The transition was coordinated by Rockland County Sheriff’s Chief of Communications Adam Feuer and Ramapo OEP Coordinator Josh Hans.

Spring Hill EMS members marked the transition by delivering food and thanking the new dispatchers for their service. Since the switch, Rockland 911 has already dispatched Spring Hill EMS to more than 16 calls and has been managing dispatches for Faist EMS and other agencies across the area.

The Town of Ramapo’s EMS dispatch services have been in place for 56 years, and many have expressed their gratitude for the dedication and professionalism shown throughout the years.

Monsey Scoop plans to publish an in-depth article soon to explain the new system and its impact on the community in greater detail.
