The Rockland Community College has received an “A” rating in the 2026 Campus Antisemitism Report Card released by the Anti-Defamation League, placing it among a select group of institutions nationwide recognized for strong efforts in combating antisemitism and supporting Jewish students, faculty, and staff.
The expanded report evaluated 150 colleges and universities across the country, examining institutional policies, administrative actions, and campus climate initiatives related to antisemitism. According to the ADL, only 15% of the schools assessed earned an “A” rating, highlighting RCC’s standing among top-performing institutions in this area.
Schools receiving the highest marks were cited for consistently condemning antisemitic incidents, enforcing clear conduct policies, and investing in Jewish campus life and student support systems.
“Rockland Community College is honored to receive this outstanding recognition,” said RCC President William P. Mullaney. “This rating reflects our unwavering commitment to ensuring that every member of our campus community feels safe, respected, and supported. We will continue working with students, faculty, and community partners to foster an inclusive environment where antisemitism and all forms of hate have no place.”
College officials said the recognition reflects RCC’s proactive leadership, well-defined institutional policies, and ongoing alignment with national best practices. Melissa L. Roy, Chief Diversity Officer and Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, emphasized that the college remains focused on addressing bias and discrimination through accountability, education, and continued action.
The ADL report comes as colleges nationwide continue to face increased scrutiny over how they respond to antisemitism and broader issues of campus climate, with RCC now standing out as a model for effective leadership and student support.
