Richard L. Marsh, Retired Suffern Detective, Appointed Chief of Police in Tuxedo

On Wednesday evening, retired Suffern Police Detective Sergeant Richard L. Marsh was sworn in as the Chief of Police for the Town of Tuxedo. The ceremony was attended by members of the Suffern Police Department, including Chief Andrew Loughlin and Retired Chief Clarke Osborn, who proudly witnessed the momentous occasion.

Chief Marsh’s appointment comes as a testament to his dedication, hard work, and lifelong commitment to law enforcement. During his tenure with the Suffern Police Department, he played a pivotal role in the department’s training initiatives, ensuring officers were well-equipped to handle a range of emergencies. Additionally, Chief Marsh was an integral part of Rockland County’s REACT team, where he eventually rose to serve as the SWAT team’s Executive Officer.

As he begins his new leadership role, the law enforcement community extends its best wishes to Chief Marsh, confident in his ability to lead the Tuxedo Police Department with distinction and dedication.
