Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, when clocks “spring forward” one hour to 3:00 a.m.
This annual time change means we lose an hour of sleep, but it also brings longer daylight hours in the evening as we head into the spring season.
While most smartphones and digital devices will update automatically, residents are reminded to manually adjust wall clocks, watches, appliances, and other non-digital timepieces before going to bed Saturday night.
🚨 Safety Reminder: As you set your clocks forward, it’s also a great time to check or replace the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Working alarms save lives — take a moment to ensure they are functioning properly.
