On Thursday evening, a Ramapo Police officer observed a motorcycle speeding as it turned from South Airmont Road onto Route 59, unsafely passing multiple vehicles.
The officer safely conducted a traffic stop, during which it was determined that the operator did not have the proper motorcycle endorsement. The motorcyclist was issued multiple summonses, including for unsafe passing, speeding, failure to signal, and operating without a motorcycle license endorsement.
This type of dangerous operation endangers the rider as well as other drivers and pedestrians. The Ramapo Police Department continues its efforts to crack down on reckless driving. Suffern Police assisted at the scene.
