RCSO K9 Unit Locates Missing Suffern Woman, Ensuring Safe Recovery

Around 11:20 PM last night, a resident from Suffern reported his 76-year-old wife as missing. She had gone for a brief walk earlier and hadn’t returned. In response, Suffern Police Officers arrived, speaking with the caller to gather necessary information. Given the time that had passed since she left home, the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office brought in a bloodhound.

RCSO Deputy Sheriff Brian Neary and K9 Galli from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office arrived and initiated the search for the woman. Utilizing surveillance footage from a resident and K9 Galli’s assistance, they successfully located the woman who had fallen in a wooded area. She was then transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for a precautionary medical assessment by Rockland Paramedic Services and Spring Hill EMS.

Suffern police expressed gratitude to their counterparts at the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, with special appreciation for RCSO Deputy Neary and K9 Galli for their effective efforts. Job well done!
