Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht Joins 2024 Mayor’s Summit Against Antisemitism

Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht attended the 2024 Mayor’s Summit Against Antisemitism in Beverly Hills today, joining over 200 municipal leaders from across the United States and Canada. The summit provided a platform for local leaders to address and strategize against the growing challenges of antisemitism.

Supervisor Specht highlighted the importance of fostering inclusivity and safety within communities, emphasizing the role of local governments in standing up against hate and discrimination. “It was great to talk to our host, Beverly Hills Mayor Lester Friedman, about how his beautiful city stands up for the Jewish community,” Specht shared.

The event, hosted by Beverly Hills, brought together a diverse group of mayors and municipal officials dedicated to combating antisemitism and promoting unity. Discussions included best practices for addressing incidents of hate, educational initiatives, and strategies for fostering interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
