Ramapo Police to Enforce Overnight Parking Rules in Montebello as Winter Approaches

The Town of Ramapo Police Department announced that the Village of Montebello has requested active enforcement of its overnight parking restrictions on village roadways. While officers will begin issuing citations when necessary, officials emphasize that the primary goal is voluntary compliance from residents.

Police are urging residents to take a moment to review the overnight parking regulations for their municipality—whether in one of Ramapo’s villages or in the unincorporated areas of town. Most local parking ordinances can be quickly accessed online through eCode360.

With winter weather on the way, clear roadways are essential for highway departments to safely and efficiently conduct snow removal and other weather-related operations.

Residents are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the rules now to avoid violations and ensure safe, passable streets throughout the season.

  1. That’s an absolute joke Ramapo Police do not know how to do anything. They are afraid of their own shadow. They won’t even give out tickets when people drive three cars wide down a 2 Lane road.

  2. The reason why Ramapo Police do not write summons is because when they do write a summons, phone calls are then made to HQ complaining about tickets being issued and requesting that the ticket be “taken care of”.
