Over the weekend, the Ramapo Police Department conducted an enforcement operation that led to 17 arrests. Among those taken into custody, nine individuals were charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) or Aggravated DWI, and six were found driving with suspended licenses. One case involved a driver operating a vehicle under the influence with a 6-year-old child as a passenger.
The arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by the department to ensure road safety through active detection of traffic violations and enforcement actions. Drivers are urged to practice defensive driving and exercise caution to prevent collisions and maintain safety on the roads.
STOP DWI New York continues to promote initiatives to combat impaired driving and raise awareness about responsible driving practices.
