The Town of Ramapo Police Department responded to a wide range of incidents throughout the Town of Ramapo in recent days, resulting in multiple arrests and ongoing investigations.
According to police, three individuals were taken into custody on outstanding arrest warrants. One individual was found to have two active warrants, another had four active warrants, and a third had one active warrant.
In addition, ten individuals were arrested for operating vehicles with suspended or revoked driver’s licenses or vehicle registrations.
Two drivers were arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, with blood alcohol concentrations alleged to be .18% or higher.
Officers also responded to a domestic-related incident involving a reported missing person. The missing individual was later located, and charges were filed in connection with the investigation.
In a separate enforcement action, one driver was arrested after allegedly displaying a forged vehicle inspection certificate.
Police are also actively investigating a serious child abuse allegation. The suspect has been arrested. Due to the sensitive nature of the case and to protect the victim’s privacy, authorities stated that no further information will be released at this time.
Additionally, an arrest was made following a harassment complaint involving coworkers in the Village of Hillburn.
In another domestic incident, officers responded to a dispute between a couple. An arrest was made after one party allegedly pushed the other and took a phone in an attempt to prevent a 911 call.
Ramapo Police continue to maintain proactive enforcement and investigative efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of residents throughout the town.
