Ramapo Police Report Busy Weekend of Arrests and Enforcement

The Ramapo Police Department had a busy weekend, responding to a variety of incidents across the community and making multiple arrests.

According to officials, four individuals were taken into custody on outstanding warrants, while two others were charged with local law violations for open container offenses. Officers also cited three motorists for driving with suspended licenses or registrations.

Police reported an aggravated DWI arrest following a motor vehicle crash, as well as an additional DWI arrest tied to a vehicle and traffic violation. One individual was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon during a traffic stop.

Other arrests included a violation of local law for a dog at large, a charge of violating an Order of Protection connected to a domestic violence case, a felony assault arrest, and one arrest for Obstruction of Governmental Authority and Resisting Arrest.

Authorities said these cases demonstrate the range of issues their officers address on a daily basis, from quality-of-life violations to serious criminal matters. The department reaffirmed its commitment to keeping Ramapo safe and urged residents to remain vigilant.
