Ramapo Police Report 18 Arrests During Busy Weekend Enforcement Effort

The Town of Ramapo Police Department reported that officers made 18 arrests over the weekend as part of ongoing enforcement and public safety efforts throughout the town.

According to police, the arrests included nine misdemeanor vehicle and traffic-related offenses, the majority involving drivers operating vehicles with suspended licenses. Officers also made two DWI arrests, including one driver who was reportedly found sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Additional arrests included two individuals wanted on active warrants, one arrest for Exposure of a Person, and one arrest for a Dog at Large violation.

Police also reported one arrest involving charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Assault in the Second Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Another individual was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. A separate arrest involved charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Menacing in the Second Degree.

The Ramapo Police Department said officers remain proactive in their efforts to keep the community safe and thanked residents for their continued support.
