On Sunday afternoon, a Hachnoses Sefer Torah took place at Mesivta Beis Shraga on North Saddle River Road, drawing community members for the joyous and meaningful occasion. In light of the recent horrific terror attack in Australia, heightened security measures were implemented. Ramapo Police officers were present on site, including officers carrying rifles as an added precaution to ensure public safety.
Chaverim of Rockland volunteers also assisted during the event, helping control traffic and ensuring pedestrian safety along the roadway, allowing the celebration to proceed smoothly and securely.
