Ramapo Police Makes Two Burglary Arrests in Separate Incidents

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, the Ramapo Police Investigations Division apprehended two suspects in separate burglary incidents that were reported to the Ramapo Police Department.

In the initial case, the RPD received a report of a residential burglary that occurred in June 2023. Following a thorough investigation, a juvenile, under 18 years old, was taken into custody and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree (C-Felony). The juvenile received an appearance ticket and is required to appear before the Rockland County Probation Department for further legal proceedings.

In the second incident, the RPD received a report of a commercial burglary that took place on July 21, 2023, in the Monsey area of the Town. RPD detectives conducted an investigation, leading to the arrest of a 33-year-old male from Spring Valley on August 1, 2023. He faces charges of Burglary 3rd Degree (D-Felony) and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree (D-Felony). The suspect was arraigned in the Town of Ramapo Court and was subsequently released without bail, pending a future court appearance.

It is essential to recognize that a criminal complaint is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
