Ramapo Police Issue 100 Tickets Overnight to Clear Way for Snow Removal

The Town of Ramapo Police Department announced that officers issued approximately 100 summonses overnight to vehicles violating overnight and weather-related parking regulations, allowing snow removal crews to safely and efficiently clear roadways.

Police officials emphasized that adhering to parking rules during winter weather is essential to ensuring that Highway and DPW crews can treat roads properly, while also showing consideration for neighbors and public works employees working through the night.

The department noted that while officers are committed to keeping residents safe, enforcing overnight parking restrictions diverts resources from other public safety priorities. Residents are urged to follow parking regulations during snow events to help crews do their jobs effectively and keep roads clear.
