Ramapo Police Increase Patrols Following Ramming Incident At 770 Chabad Headquarters In Crown Heights

The Ramapo Police Department says it is aware of an incident that occurred Wednesday evening at the Lubavitch World Headquarters in Brooklyn and is closely monitoring the situation as the investigation continues.

According to police officials, the Ramapo Police Chief has been in contact with law-enforcement partners, including NYPD Intelligence, as well as Ramapo’s detective assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force. The incident is being investigated by the NYPD.

Out of an abundance of caution, Ramapo Police announced that they will be increasing patrols and police visibility around houses of worship and throughout religious communities within the town.

Police are reminding the public to remain vigilant and to immediately report anything suspicious or out of the ordinary by calling law enforcement, stressing that community awareness plays a key role in keeping residents safe.
