Ramapo Police Honor Lt. Anthony Giardina with Retirement Walkout Ceremony

The Ramapo Police Department held a retirement walkout ceremony on Friday afternoon to honor Lieutenant Anthony Giardina, who is retiring after 27 years of dedicated service.

Lt. Giardina leaves behind a legacy of leadership and innovation, having been the department’s first K9 officer and instrumental in shaping the program into what it is today. His contributions extended beyond the K9 unit, as he played a key role in managing the department’s Intern Program and leading the agency through re-accreditation as the New York State Law Enforcement Accreditation Program Manager.

A strong advocate for professional development, Lt. Giardina is also a graduate of Session 278 of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, a prestigious training program for law enforcement leaders.

Colleagues, friends, and community members gathered to express their appreciation for Lt. Giardina’s years of service and dedication to the Ramapo Police Department. His impact on the department and the community will be felt for years to come.
