Ramapo Police Enhance Student Safety with New Drone Program {DRONE FOOTAGE}

The Ramapo Police Department’s RAPTOR Unit is taking student safety to new heights with its innovative Drone First Responder (DFR) program.

Last week, Ramapo Police DFR pilots deployed drones during school bus pick-up hours, closely monitoring bus stops and school bus routes to ensure a secure environment for students. This initiative, backed by Ramapo Town Supervisor Michael Specht and the Town of Ramapo Board, reflects a commitment to utilizing the latest technology to protect children at every step of their journey.

The drone program, which launched less than two weeks ago, has already demonstrated its value in enhancing public safety. As previously reported by Monsey Scoop, this latest deployment marks another way the department is leveraging cutting-edge technology to serve the community.

Residents can expect to see continued drone operations as law enforcement officials integrate this tool into their broader public safety efforts.
