Ramapo Police Department Welcomes New Officers in a Ceremonial Swearing-In

The Ramapo Police Department celebrated the induction of three new officers in a ceremony held at Ramapo Town Hall. Joseph Wassner, Jake Tamburro, and Kevin Leonard, the newest members of the department, took their oath of office in a ceremony marked by a sense of commitment and community spirit.

The event, presided over by Town of Ramapo Supervisor Michael Specht, was not just a formal procedure but a testament to the department’s dedication to community service and safety. Following their official swearing-in, each officer received a copy of “Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement: A Guide for Officers and Their Families” by Dr. Kevin M. Gilmartin, underscoring the department’s focus on the mental and emotional well-being of its officers.

The Ramapo Police Department, in a statement, expressed pride in their new recruits and emphasized their commitment to serving and protecting the community. They also extended an invitation to the public to join in congratulating the new officers and wished them success and safety in their responsibilities to maintain community safety.
