Ramapo Police Arrest Suspect in Early Morning Hillcrest Assault

Early Friday morning, at approximately 3:30 AM, Ramapo Police responded to reports of a fight in progress in the Hillcrest area of the town. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim suffering from multiple lacerations and swelling to his head and face.

A suspect was apprehended nearby and taken into custody. The 54-year-old male was charged with Assault in the 2nd degree, Attempted Robbery, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. The suspect, who is a previously convicted felon, was arraigned later that morning and remanded to the Rockland County Jail.
