Ramapo Police Arrest Intoxicated Driver Following Alert by Chaverim Of Rockland Volunteers

Chaverim volunteers, assisting with traffic at a local Simcha on Grandview Avenue, played a key role in the arrest of a female driver for driving under the influence late Motzei Shabbos.

Approached by a disoriented driver, the volunteers sensed something was amiss due to her incoherent questions. They quickly contacted the Ramapo Police Department. Officers arrived promptly and after a brief investigation, determined the driver was indeed intoxicated.

The driver was arrested and her vehicle impounded, thanks to the volunteers’ alert response.
