Ramapo Police Apprehend Suspect in Violent Domestic Assaults and Threats, Charges Include Burglary and Endangering a Child

On May 5th 2024, Ramapo Police received a past domestic report that occurred on May 1st 2024. The victim stated that her boyfriend broke into her home and threatened her with a knife in front of her child.

Ramapo Police and other agencies began actively searching for the suspect. Several days after the initial incident, while the suspect was still at large, another past altercation was reported to Ramapo PD involving the same suspect, who assaulted the victim in a business parking lot within the Town of Ramapo on May 10th, 2024.

After that incident, the suspect later made threats against the victim’s life via telephone. Ramapo PD Detectives continued their search for the suspect and were able to locate and apprehend him with the assistance of Clarkstown PD Detectives near the Palisades Mall on May 13th, 2024.

The 34-year-old suspect was charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned and remanded to the Rockland County Jail. Ramapo PD would like to thank Clarkstown PD, Spring Valley PD and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance with this arrest.
