Ramapo Police Announce Promotion Of SRO Officer Robert Navarro To Sergeant

The Ramapo Police Department announced the promotion of School Resource Officer (SRO) Robert Navarro to the rank of sergeant during the Ramapo Town Board meeting last night. Navarro, who began his career with the New York Police Department in 2005 before joining the Ramapo Police Department in 2009, has held various roles throughout his tenure, ranging from patrol officer to DARE instructor, Adopt-a-Cop participant, SRO, range officer, active threat instructor, and forensic interviewer.

As a dedicated leader in the community, Sgt. Navarro has been instrumental in organizing multiple initiatives, including blood drives, Shop-With-a-Cop holiday events, and the launch of the Ramapo Police Department’s School Supply Drive. He also plays a significant role in the department’s Youth Academy.

His promotion recognizes his continued commitment to community service and youth engagement. The Ramapo Police Department expressed its gratitude for Navarro’s contributions and wished him success in his new role as sergeant.
