Three New Jersey teens have been charged following an investigation into a series of egg-throwing incidents that targeted pedestrians in Monsey and Airmont earlier this week.
According to the Ramapo Police Department, officers responded at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, to multiple reports of pedestrians being struck by eggs thrown from a passing vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Over the following several days, detectives from the Ramapo Police Department’s Investigations Division conducted an extensive investigation, utilizing witness statements, license plate reader (LPR) technology, and security camera footage. Investigators identified a suspect vehicle from New Jersey and determined the identities of its occupants.
On Thursday, July 23, police arrested three individuals: an 18-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 15-year-old, all residents of New Jersey.

Their cooperation and support contributed significantly to the successful outcome of the investigation.
In connection with three separate incidents, each of the defendants was charged with three counts of Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation under New York State Penal Law.
The Ramapo Police Department thanked members of the community for their cooperation throughout the investigation and reminded residents that promptly reporting suspicious activity plays an important role in helping keep local neighborhoods safe.
