The Ramapo Police Department is mourning the loss of two longtime members who dedicated their lives to serving the community and their country. Retired Lieutenant Charles Lynch and Retired Police Officer George Allen were laid to rest this past week, leaving behind a proud legacy of decades-long public service.
Lt. Lynch served from 1963 until his retirement in 2004, while Officer Allen served from 1969 to 2004. Both men were not only pillars of the Ramapo Police Department but also proud veterans of the United States Navy. Their careers were marked by professionalism, pride, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of Ramapo residents.
The department extends its deepest condolences to the families of Lt. Lynch and Officer Allen. Their memory and service will never be forgotten. May they rest in peace.
