Ramapo Considers Mini Golf Course for Former Saddle River Pool Site

Ramapo’s Department of Parks and Recreation is considering repurposing the Saddle River Pool in Monsey into a mini-golf course, addressing the shift in recreational preferences among residents. The pool, located at 448 Saddle River Road, saw a decline in local use, prompting the town to explore new uses for the space.

Town Supervisor Michael Specht noted, “As our community’s interests evolve, so must our recreational offerings. The transition from a pool predominantly used by non-residents to a mini-golf course is a step towards adapting our facilities to better serve the local population.”

The town is communicating with Troon, a leading golf management company, to develop the project, aiming to introduce a vibrant and engaging recreational option by next summer. Public input will be sought as plans progress, ensuring that the new development aligns with community preferences and revitalizes the underutilized site.
