POMONA: Firefighters Save Route 306 Home, Contain Kitchen Fire to One Room

On Wednesday morning, firefighters were dispatched to a report of smoke coming from a kitchen at 619 Route 306, with the caller unable to gain entry to extinguish the fire. Fire crews arrived swiftly and confirmed a working fire inside the residence. Thanks to the quick and coordinated response, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to one room, saving the rest of the home.

Hillcrest Fire Department, Thiells Fire Department, Ramapo Police Department, and Spring Hill EMS all responded and operated at the scene.
