Police Training in Chestnut Ridge Causes Concern Among Residents

This morning, residents of Chestnut Ridge noticed a significant police presence in the area, prompting concerns despite notifications displayed on safety boards stating it was a scheduled training exercise.

Sources confirmed to Monsey Scoop that the activity is part of a planned training operation conducted by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department, alongside various local police units. The exercise includes participation from specialized teams such as the Rockland County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad and SWAT.

The training is taking place at the community pool on Saddle River Road and on a field located on Ackertown Road. Officials assured the public that there is no cause for alarm, emphasizing that the drills are designed to enhance the preparedness and effectiveness of law enforcement in serving the community.
