Police Search for Suspect Following Wednesday’s Attempted Bank Fraud in Clarkstown

Authorities are actively searching for a female suspect involved in an attempted bank fraud incident that occurred yesterday at the Affinity Federal Credit Union located at 35 Bardonia Rd. Clarkstown Police responded to reports of two individuals attempting to defraud the bank.

Upon their arrival, officers noted that both suspects had already vacated the premises. One suspect was promptly apprehended near the intersection of Rt. 304 and Bardonia Rd. The second suspect, a female described as wearing a black vest and hat with “COLORADO” displayed across the front, escaped the scene and has yet to be located.

As a precaution, Bardonia Elementary School implemented a brief lockout while police conducted their search nearby. The measure was intended to ensure the safety of students and staff during the ongoing police activity.

The Clarkstown Police Department is urging the public to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the remaining suspect. Updates will be provided as more details emerge in this ongoing investigation.
