A fire broke out early Saturday morning at a residence on River Road in Grandview-on-Hudson, drawing a swift response from the Piermont Fire Department and neighboring agencies.
The incident occurred at around 3:35 a.m. at 217 River Road, after a call to 911 reported smoke and possible fire at the location. Upon arrival, Piermont firefighters found active flames and immediately began fire suppression efforts.
With assistance from surrounding departments, crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading beyond the structure. Additional resources were brought in to support the operation and provide coverage for the village during the response.
The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Arson Unit was called to the scene and is currently investigating the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
