Piermont Dock Incident Under Investigation After Vehicle Plunges into Hudson River

A perplexing incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon when the Piermont Police Department was called to the scene at Ferry Road, following reports of damage to the local dock. Around 2 pm, police officers arrived to find telltale vehicle tire marks in the snow, leading directly to the edge of the dock.

The investigation quickly escalated as officers discovered fragments of vehicle parts near the damaged section of the dock. Further aiding the investigation, video footage was obtained, revealing a vehicle entering the docking area, the driver exiting briefly, before the vehicle alarmingly drove off the end of the dock into the icy waters of the Hudson River.

As of now, the case remains under active investigation by the Piermont Police Department Detective Unit, with additional support from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office. This unusual event has sparked considerable attention in the community, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
