Piermont and Thiells Fire Departments Conduct Joint Ice Rescue Drill in Subzero Conditions {PHOTOS}

Despite brutal conditions with wind chills plunging to -11 degrees, members of the Piermont Fire Department and the Thiells Fire Department conducted a joint ice rescue training drill on Sunday along the south side of the Piermont Pier, practicing cold-water rescue techniques and interagency coordination in extreme winter conditions.
