A moving Hachnosas Sefer Torah took place Sunday at the Pomona Heights shul on Halley Drive, where a new Sefer Torah was dedicated by the Rubin family in memory of their beloved son, Habochur Efraim Rubin Z”L. Efraim was tragically killed in a bicycle accident in Pomona one year ago, and the event marked a heartfelt tribute to his legacy.
The emotional ceremony was attended by family, friends, and members of the community, as well as elected officials, including Assemblyman Aron Wieder and Town of Haverstraw Supervisor Howard Phillips. The Sefer Torah was joyfully welcomed with music, dancing, and deep emotion, as the community joined together to honor Efraim’s memory in a meaningful and everlasting way.
