This weekend, members of the Pearl River Fire Department’s Swift Water Rescue Team conducted a joint training drill with the Nanuet Fire Department. Members practiced throw bag and reach operations from shore, along with tethered “go” rescues involving personnel in the water. The training is part of a newer initiative, with members also attending the New York State Preparedness Training Center for Swift Water Technician training.
