PEARL RIVER: Firefighter Injured in Afternoon Chicken Coop Fire on Laurel Road

On Monday at approximately 2:30 p.m., multiple fire departments responded to a reported structure fire at 305 Laurel Road. The incident was determined to be a chicken coop fire, and all chickens were safely removed.

Pearl River, West Nyack, and Nanuet Fire Departments, along with the Orangetown Police Department, operated on the scene.

One firefighter was injured during the response and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
