The Democratic Committee convened Monday evening to nominate Patricia Brimais-Tenemille as their candidate for Village Justice in the upcoming general election. The nomination follows the resignation of Hon. Vincent Altieri, who officially stepped down from the position on August 1 due to medical reasons.
Judge Altieri, who served the Village of Spring Valley for many years, cited health-related concerns in his decision to vacate the bench. In response, the Democratic Committee swiftly endorsed Brimais-Tenemille to appear on the November ballot as their judicial nominee.
Brimais-Tenemille currently serves as a Support Magistrate and is well-known in the community for her dedication to justice and public service.
“I wish Patricia Brimais-Tenemille much success in her future judgeship and look forward to working with her for the betterment of our community,” Spring Valley Trustee Yisroel Eisenbach told Monsey Scoop.
“I fully support Patricia Brimais-Tenemille for Spring Valley judge. Her experience as a Support Magistrate and commitment to Spring Valley make her the ideal choice. Let’s back her in this election,” Assemblyman Aron Wieder told Monsey Scoop.
Brimais-Tenemille will now begin campaigning ahead of the general election, where she seeks to officially fill the vacancy left by Judge Altieri.
