PALISADES PARKWAY: High-Speed Pursuit Ends In Crash Near Exit 8E Northbound; Two Taken Into Custody, Sheriff Unit Injured

A Rockland County Sheriff’s unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop late Saturday night on the northbound Palisades Parkway near Exit 7, prompting a high-speed pursuit after the vehicle failed to comply and fled the scene.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the pursuit began at approximately 10:30 p.m. and continued northbound until the fleeing vehicle crashed beneath the overpass near Exit 8E. Two occupants, a male and a female, were taken into custody at the scene.

During the incident, one officer from the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office sustained injuries and was treated by Nanuet EMS.

Additional assistance at the scene was provided by New York State Police and Clarkstown Police.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and further details are expected to be released as they become available.
