PALISADES PARKWAY: Firefighters Rescue Trapped Victim Following Serious Two-Vehicle Rollover

Emergency personnel responded just before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to a serious crash on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway between Exits 13 and 14 involving two overturned vehicles, leaving one person trapped inside.

Upon arrival, Thiells Fire Department personnel found both vehicles overturned, with one occupant pinned inside a heavily damaged vehicle. Firefighters immediately began stabilizing the wreckage and deploying specialized extrication equipment. Due to the extensive damage and limited access to the trapped victim, additional extrication equipment was requested from the Hillcrest Fire Department.

Following a coordinated rescue effort, firefighters successfully extricated the trapped victim, who was then transferred to Haverstraw EMS for medical treatment and transport.

New York State Police also responded to the scene and are investigating the cause of the crash.
