PALISADES PARKWAY: Firefighters Rescue Trapped Driver After Two-Vehicle Rollover

Emergency personnel responded just before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to a serious crash on the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway between Exits 13 and 14 involving two overturned vehicles, with one person trapped inside. Thiells Fire Department firefighters used specialized extrication equipment, with additional equipment provided by the Hillcrest Fire Department due to the extensive damage and limited access to the vehicle. The victim was successfully extricated and transferred to Haverstraw EMS for treatment. New York State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
