At approximately 6:54 AM Thursday, Hillcrest Fire Company was dispatched to the Palisades Parkway South for a reported motor vehicle accident requiring extrication.
Upon arrival, Chief Bowers (6-1) encountered a two-vehicle crash, with one SUV overturned in the woods and the driver trapped inside. Crews from Hillcrest Squad 6 and Rescue 6 worked swiftly to stabilize the vehicle and cut open the SUV’s roof to safely extricate the driver.
The victim was successfully removed and transferred to EMS for treatment. The scene was secured and handed over to police for further investigation.
