PALISADES PARKWAY: Driver Arrested After Fleeing Police, Pursuit Ends At Palisades Center

A driver was taken into custody Monday night following a multi-agency police pursuit that began on Willow Grove Road near Exit 15 off the Palisades Interstate Parkway.

Sources tell Monsey Scoop that the incident began at approximately 9:56 p.m. when a vehicle failed to comply with New York State Park Police. The suspect then reentered the Palisades Interstate Parkway and continued fleeing before exiting at Exit 9E onto the New York State Thruway.

The vehicle later exited the Thruway at Exit 12 and eventually came to a stop in the parking lot of the Palisades Center at approximately 10:14 p.m. The driver fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody by responding officers. A passenger was also inside the vehicle.

During the pursuit, the fleeing vehicle nearly struck a Haverstraw Police cruiser. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in the pursuit, and one officer was evaluated by EMS. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the suspect or possible charges.
