Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Respond to Helicopter Emergency Landing at Englewood Marina

On Tuesday at approximately 11:47 a.m., the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police responded to reports of a helicopter experiencing mechanical failure and needing an emergency landing along the Hudson River.

The helicopter, a Bell 407GX operated by HeliNY.com, safely landed in the parking lot of the Englewood Marina in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Upon arrival, police found that the aircraft had suffered mechanical issues while conducting a sightseeing tour of New York City.

All six passengers and the pilot exited the helicopter safely, with no injuries reported or medical attention required. The helicopter is set to be towed from the scene.
